The most reliable way to measure belt size is to measure an existing belt. Measure from the tip of the buckle to the hole you use. Our belts have seven holes. The size you order will be to the middle hole. It doesn’t matter if you wear your old belt in the first or last hole, we will make your new belt to measure to the middle hole.

 

If you don't have a belt, use a flexible tape to measure through the loops of your jeans or pants while wearing them.

Jean and pant sizes vary greatly but as a general rule you add 2 inches or 5 centimetres. For example, your jean size in 34 inches you should order at least a 36 inch belt. Please note that this can be unreliable and note our return policy when ordering customised belts.

Use the below conversion table to determine which belt size to order. The measurement is from the tip of the buckle to the middle hole.

66 cm - order a 26" belt

71 cm - order a 28" belt

76 cm - order a 30" belt

81 cm - order a 32" belt
86 cm - order a 34" belt
91 cm - order a 36" belt
96 cm - order a 38" belt
102 cm - order a 40" belt
107 cm - order a 42" belt
112 cm - order a 44" belt
117 cm - order a 46" belt

Please take your time to carefully measure for correct belt size. Check out our size guide here.

 

When you receive your belt, please check sizing prior to use. To ensure you have the correct size, don't pull the leather through the buckle, instead thread your belt through your pants' loops and overlap the tip of the belt and the buckle. This avoids marking the belt. If the belt is unmarked and isn't customised with text, we will happily exchange for the correct size. Please make contact here to arrange a swap. The postage will be at the customer's expense.

 

Products with customised text are unable to be refunded or exchanged. We do not offer returns for change of mind. Please refer to our returns and warranty page here.

 

In the very unlikely event you are unhappy with the craftmanship, or if an item is faulty, please make contact here so we can rectify any problem. We are happy to help and want you to be satisfied with your purchase.

As items are custom made, a few days may pass before your purchase is shipped. We have two postage options: standard ($5 - allow 5 to 7 days) or express ($10 - allow 2 to 4 days). You will receive a tracking number to monitor your package in transit. Free pickup is available from NAB House Hobart. A pop up warning prior to purchase will appear if the above delivery times are unlikely.

Apply a light coat of J&H Leather conditioner using a soft cloth. Let it sit and then buff off excess. Repeat 3 or 4 times a year depending on use. The leather may darken slightly after initial application but will return to its natural shade within a few days

The edge of the leather is bevelled and burnished to provide a smooth polished feel.

 

As the belt is crafted from a natural material and hand made there are likely to be slight size variations and surface imperfections which add to the natural beauty, character and uniqueness of each item.
