J&H Leather is a Father (Jon) & Son (Henry) business handcrafting high quality leather products in Tasmania. Jon was introduced to leather making at school. He loved that leather was a natural material that was supple yet durable. Trading as JP Craft, belt production was underway by 1990 selling belts to friends and local retailers. Life got a little busy though and production was put on hold in 2005.  Roll forward more than a few years and the leather working tools have been dusted off by Henry who has embraced and mastered the skills required to handcraft a quality product.  Henry loves working with leather for all the same reasons and making something that is going to last a lifetime when so much of what we buy these days doesn’t. We have worked on a rebrand and have now launched J&H Leather. We’re looking forward to seeing the classic J&H Leather belt holding up pants and jeans for more decades to come.
